Jo Eriko Returns to NMB48 as a Kenkyuusei

During the 3rd anniversary concert at Osaka Castle Hall, NMB48 revealed that Jo Eriko (center and former Team M member) returns to NMB48 as a Kenkyuusei. Previously, she graduated from NMB48 in September last year due to focus on her school and pass the high school entrance exams. She auditioned for NMB48 second generation. Shortly after that, her name was increasingly famous and became the ace of team M.

Jo appeared on the stage, fans sound getting louder and “Eriko call” ensued. Jo Eriko’s comment:

I graduated NMB48 to focus on school. As I was living as a normal girl, I saw my old friends in NMB48 on TV or magazines. I started asking myself what I was doing, what I really wanted to do. There may be a lot of people who think this doesn’t make sense. Please watch what I’ll do from now on, not my words. I will start over from KKS, I’ll give it everything I got so that one day, I can confidently say to everybody “I’m back”.

Remember what she ever wrote in her blog, seems to the day she would return to NMB48 is definitely coming. She ever wrote:

Eriko here. I had school today.

When I was in NMB, I always had members around who supported me, I also had fans who always supported too.

But now, I’m by myself. This is the path I have chosen myself, so I have no regrets.

Because I only live in Hyogo, If I ever want to see any of the members, I can just go to the theatre and meet up with them.

Also, after I’ve become a high school student, I want to re-audition for NMB so I can be with everyone again.

Therefore right now, I’m striving to do my best in my studies. So, I’m off to study! Bye-bye!

She openly states that after she gets into high school she would like to try out for NMB48 again. She did say prior to graduating that one day she may consider re-auditioning for NMB48. In her blog, she flat out states that she would like to.

Another reason that makes Jo very special is, when Aki-P saw her at the audition, he said “The whole reason I created AKB48 is to meet this girl”. It shows us that there is something different about Jo Eriko which can be known by Aki-P.
